The other day I had a friend gripe to me that iTunes doesn’t run very well on Vista.
I must point out one or two things.
First of all is that Vista should still be in a beta version.1 2 3
Secondly, Apple hasn’t released iTunes for Vista because they want to have all the bugs worked out (unlike Vista).
That’s just my personal opinion though.

Yeah, iTunes for Windows isn’t even stated to run on Vista. Only Windows 2000 and Xp…
Meh, I have a load of problems with iTunes trying to run it on my Vista sporting computer. Whether or not Apple wants to “have all the bugs worked out”, it’s a bad market strategy to make iTunes next to incompatible with Vista computers. Three out of five times when I hook up my iPod for an update my entire computer shuts down.
Very. Annoying.
Apple didn’t make iTunes incompatable with Vista.
Note that iTunes came out before Vista.
For all we know Jobs might be waiting to release a newer version of iTunes with the next operating system – Leopard.
But we shall see.
My advice to fix it?
Get a Mac.
